My Story
I am a mountain leader, photographer and writer in the Lake District. I’m currently building on these skills by training to become a forest school leader. I am grateful for the green spaces we have and feel really fortunate that I can regularly get out climbing, hiking and running.
Film cameras have been a constant companion in my life. I am driven by colour, story-telling and adventure, which is demonstrated in the series Loosen Up, Central Asia and Earth Rug. My photography has steered me to having exhibitions at spaces including Open Eye Gallery and Prism Gallery, with work published in VICE and Huffpost. You can see more of my commissions and selected work here.
I also have a decade of experience writing for online platforms such as BBC News and travel websites like Journal of Nomads. I first travelled to Kyrgyzstan in 2022 and was enchanted by its landscapes and the kindness of its people. Here I met travel blogger and tour organiser Cynthia, from Journal of Nomads, and got along so well. Her platform provides adventure tours and travel guides, where community-based tourism is at its heart. I’ve loved documenting the process and I’m grateful that I’ve been trusted to lead groups in these wild places.
In August 2025, climber Hannah Mitchell and I set out on a self-supported expedition in the Fann Mountains, Tajikistan. I’m in the process of producing a film of our trip - which explores trust, healing and humour. You can take a look at my film photographs from the trip here.
